The more I see I don’t think Luffy and gang will arrive untill end of the arc . Oda is trying fresh approach here .

We rarely had weak trios getting a panel , good time for Ussop , Nami and chopper to have a fight . Jinbei lacked dynamic relation with the crew and he needs to show he can boss around the crew when trio aren’t available .

So far I feel this is very good writing from Oda . Elbaf definately is a great arc for me pacing is solid and Villains are fleshed out well .

One Piece being so slow to reveal more about mysterious characters is sure one of its most frustrating traits.

He's saying they're the final step, which is hype. Loki is a confident guy who believes he can beat anyone, so ofc he would say that.

This chapter looks like a mess and is boring to read. But I think that Loki's statement about being born in the wrong era and having wanted to join Xebec likely prepares for him to become an ally to the real Joyboy.
