Story says that people believe Nika was a god. They prayed for a savior, and he showed up.
Countless islands prayed for a savior, then Luffy showed up.
Skypeia venerated a serpent as a deity.
Usopp has a statue through which he is regarded as a god.
We have yet to get a confirmation that Nika is any different.

So you think that Nika was just a regular human with powers back in the day? How does that work, the mural is being direct that powers and dfs were born from wishes.

Nika is most likely a deity born from wishes and can be revived with the fruit which a human or buccaneer (Joyboy) ate. Nika’s powers are harvested by the first confirmed pirate, Joyboy. Joyboy found the pirate idealogy like The Sage of the Six Paths found the ninja idealogy. They are still more similar.
