Mars in Egghead - His only break from the boxes was to suck off the Goroseis haki
Perospero in WCI - Screaming if pero catches up to them he Luffy and the others are finished
And let’s not even talk about how him fighting a Tobi roppo was just more hype for the calamities because the calamities were treated as tiers above them.

Not even strong top tiers like Akainu and Big Mom ridiculed Jinbe even if they were significantly stronger, he's part of these characters Oda tries to respect because of his wise veteran guy role.
Don't mean Gunko is getting anti-feats. I'm just saying there are other ways this can go than every straw hat getting one shotted. If her objective is to take Colon away she can simply take him while crashing their ship.
If Jinbe does get hype tooled I'd recognize HKs/Gunko as significantly above yonko commanders though
