Nah. i've done the math on this, Fujitora is a traitor, but he is actually good PR and secretly does war crimes.

Sommers being surprised implies his inclusion was a last min decision. Shamrock and Gunko chose another HK in advance so Killingham was more ready

Garling was a Holy Knight and he got promoted to being an Elder.

Then you have Sommers who is part of the same family as Ju Peter, so there is a good possibility that Ju Peter was a former Holy Knight in the past before becoming an Elder.

I believe the only ones that saw the Elders fight is back when they used to be Holy Knights, and those people are all dead.

Would the possible death of Gaban lead to Rayleigh spring into action at some point? Maybe even the remnants of his old crew as well? The Roger pirates have seemingly lurked for 25 years and now Gaban is there to confirm that Nika is real and that the WG is so worried that they are deploying the Holy Knights as well as the Gorosei. Whatever they found out but couldn't act upon as the time wasn't right is now possible. And it's already been hinted that Gabans years on Elbaf might have aged him more than his already old real age.

Since he's too strong for the arc your first thought is he has to die. That's why Gaban kid has been kidnapped, to handicap Gaban involvement during the arc.

Gaban also asked Luffy/Zoro to meet him afterwards, and you think he's dying in this fight? No. All of HKs are prob gonna get summoned in Elbaf, or they gonna run away from Eblaf temporarily.​
