On the cover page, we're back to Yamato eating! This cover story really is just a excuse to show off Yamato trying the various delicacies of Wano.
Saul knows about the God's Knights. That makes sense, since he was a Marine. And apparently, they're "immortal". Not sure if he's JUST talking about the regenerations, or if this means the God's Knights can ALSO live for hundreds of years, like the Gorosei.
I feel like Nami and Jinbe are both acting weird in this scene. Maybe that has something to do with the "Not lingering here" warning. But, maybe not? I don't know, something to keep an eye on.
Brook seems to know something about Gunko. Hmm...could she originally be from his home country or something? It'd be interesting if she was his great-grandchild, or great-niece or something, but I doubt Oda'll will go that way with it. Brook does get very formal with her. Maybe he recognizes her as looking like someone he was protecting or working as a bodyguard for, back in the day? I mean, if the God's Knights ARE long-lived, I suppose Gunko might have even been around to meet Brook back when he was alive.
I'm sure there's a lot of people who would be MORE than happy to take Gunko's "offer" to Brook. Including the being stepped on part. Maybe, especially the being stepped on part. "That's one HELL of a groupie" indeed.
Gunko clutching her chest after hitting Brook does feel like it's probably important. I'm VERY curious as to what that sound effect above her actually is, because that could give us a hint about what's going on. Right now, I could just read it as her being "disgusted" for rejecting her magnanimous offer of joining her, though. I have to wonder, though....Brook IS the "Soul King". So, maybe "Soul Power" really can defeat the powers of the Abyss. (Especially, if the Abyss turns out to be a "mind power. Dreams trumps logic, and all that.)
More on that over here, if you want to follow me down that rabbit hole:

Huh...a spider-dog. You don't see that every day. There's probably an interesting story about why a Giant Kid would be afraid of something like that.
We're really fleshing out what the difference is between all these Elbaph villages. Every one's got a specialty. Nice. I appreciate the world-building, even if it might not come to much.
Colon's taking charge! Sort of! Yeah, there's not much he can do, if he's still being controlled by Gunko's arrows.
Mothers...truly the greatest foe of all. They are the "opposite of adventure" after all. These men are no match for their wives. They will be missed. It's not just the one Mother, either. I guess Moms are a more common fear than we thought.
What a handy dandy little map! This is a VERY curved branch they're all on. Why is it curved INWARD instead of growing OUTWARD towards the sun, though? Could this be...a VERY odd bit of foreshadowing about the sun of this world itself being artificial? And the REAL life giving energy of this world possibly being either within the tree or underground? Meh, something to maybe think about for later. (It's worth pointing out that the tip of Wano's Giant Tree was also pointing down, towards the "Underworld". And the Sunlight Tree Eve was growing down to below the ocean, too. There's a bit of a pattern, here. These trees started growing towards the sky, but eventually they started growing downward, possibly to get closer to where their "true sun" was "moved" to.)
Colleen's kind of down on herself. Buck up, Colleen! At we have names for all these kids now, I guess. Also, I guess Johana's a orphan. That feels like it's going to come back around, later. Her parents probably died doing...something important...maybe?
Ange seems like she's really concerned about burning down the library. So, maybe she isn't suspicious, after all. But, I'm still keeping an eye on her
But, looks like Scopper and Robin are both ready to finally make a move. So, that should be fun to see.
