I have legit NEVER understood this theory.

Unless you think there will be a massive time skip, Teach would never absorb Imus power and then be able to use them to anywhere near the degree Imu could. He would be a worse version of Imu. Hell, from the body possession Imu pulls this chapter, it could straight up backfire and lead to him getting possessed instead. That is IF Teach can even absorb Imus powers and they are not a straight up devil.
