I'm apart of the Deidara >= Sasori camp as well. I think the Sasori > Deidara PoV is very unfounded, without looking into the context of why Deidara said what he said.

Kakuzu is an absolute monster. Physical specimen, S rank elemental affinity with multiple elements. Elite in close range, medium range, and long range, decades of experience as a shinobi since Hashirama's era. And best of all Doton Domu gives him a diamond lvl durability, meaning no physical attack can hurt him. Did I mention he's pseudo immortal? Nobody outside of bs eye power users can stop this man.
Oh yeah, thats true. His death relates to what Ibiki said way back in the fucking chunin exams about the importance of intel in the ninja world, though the series obviously didnt end up being like that.
I really doubt Itachi was getting close to anyone after leaving Konoha, I mean, how could he. In the (probably non canon) Novels, theres a part where he is partially glad that Shisui commited suicide basically, because he could tell his more moderate position would lead to conflict between them, and Itachi probably would have to finish him off. He would definitely view Kisame in the same way, just without affection really. I think a lot of people miss what the old hokages meant when they said Itachi always thought like a great ninja since he was young lol, it means he was willing to do the job, shut up about it, and not think about it anymore.

Naruto Part 1 scaling is objectively whackier than pre-TS OP scaling. Give Oda some credit. Let’s list off just some Part 1 oddities:
1. Kakashi can’t use his 3T Sharingan for more than 5 minutes without being bedridden for a week
2. Kakashi can only use Raikiri 4 times max before bottoming out, but could casually summon like 100 Shadow Clones in the Land of Waves despite stating he’s basically out of chakra.
3. The Byakugan being > the Sharingan
4. Hiruzen being > Hashirama and Tobirama
5. Minato being > all other Hokage
6. Haku being stated multiple times to be > Kakashi, despite getting low diffed by Naruto just barely tapping into the Kyuubi’s chakra (didn’t even manifest a tail)
7. Chapter 1 Naruto straight up beating a Chunin and then immediately being reverted to being below most Genin
