Rayleigh started being ruined to me when Egghead broadcast happened and this panel was shown:

Telling VP to shut up when hes trying to warn people about the end of the world is crazy shit to me. Him and his crew not doing shit about it also made them lose aura.

Well Sanji fans won. All they wanted is to be attached to Zoro and Oda has cemented he will always come back to this.

Rayleigh had more aura than Roger arguably, and objectively more aura than the Yonkou. And Oda is now shitting all over that by turning him into Roger's bickering waterboy. Wings is such a bad look for Rayleigh.

That's the issue with One Piece, Oda doesn't let characters be their own man. You can be under a Captain, does not mean your entire existence has to revolve around glazing the man. The constant parallels just make it worse, stripping away individuality even further. At this point, the Monster Trio and Roger-Ray-Gaban don’t even feel like characters anymore just a bunch of templates.

I stopped being a Zoro fan when I realized the dude is just an extension of Luffy glaze, couldn't bare it any longer.
