if you think what Sanji did in WCI is bad then yes, it is a bad thing. They’re literally 1:1, except the people in danger were Sanji’s father figure and friends. Not some stranger

Were people expecting Sanji to abandon Jeff and his other family members so that he can keep sailing with Luffy? There's valid criticism to Post TS Sanji but this one ain't it. Luffy knew Sanji had no choice so he went to WCI to take him back.

If that would be the case why didn't mihawk try to challenge shanks then if shanks thought him having one arm would make it easier for mihawk? Mihawks pride is the reason why he wouldn't challenge one armed shanks coz if he was on par with shanks earlier with 2 arms and now wins against shanks with one arm it would bring boundless shame to him.

To be fair Sanji fighting Luffy was the only one Sanji thought Luffy would accept his resignation and escape. Sanji was trying to pull an Usopp since Luffy was willing to abandon Usopp on W7 afterward. Plus if Sanji didn’t start fighting Luffy, all of germa would’ve teamed up on Luffy Chopper and Nami which would’ve ended with SHP death and Sanji permanently dismembered unable to cook again.
