Yeah, I'm changing my bets. I was somewhat confident that Sanji would get CoC after Gaban, but it's definitely being set-up as something he'd never get, and more of a gag (just like with women).

Having Sanji lust after it with comical faces is not how you foreshadow a huge character defining trait. It's like gag of him lusting over Nami or Robin, only to never really get either romantically, etc.

But maybe I'm wrong, we'll see. If it IS a foreshadowing of that, Oda is really being unfair/cheap with Sanji. It should be a massive, serious deal, not a lusting gag.

Sanji literally gets serious at the end and yeah, u are coping if you think Gaban got it and Sanji won't. This chapter hints that sanji will unlock it soon, there is a reason why gaban was interrupted and we see sanji serious face after.

He turned off flame mode to use invisible speed to increases his chances at hitting Zoro. Unfortunate for him, Zoro's reaction speed was too fast.

You have a warped perception of King's speed.

At the end of the battle he turned off flame mode because he was no longer confident it was strong enough to protect him from Zoro's AP. Zoro even called him out about it.

Phenomenal misread.

King response wasn't you can't damage me in flame mode. Instead it was you can't beat me because you're human.

King increasing his speed, increasing his distance, and attacking with a long range attack increase his chances of evading Zoro's attack. That was the smartest thing to do in that situation.

Oda set up for King flame mode to be less effective against Zoro's AP earlier in the chapter.

After Zoro obtained ACoC King called him a threat and avoided his KoH attacks. Even in flame mode.

You literally posted evidence contradicting yourself.

Zoro outright said it was useless. Which is no surprise.

It's likely King's durability is not infinite. There has to be a limit to the flame and how much damage he can actually accumulate.

As it happens, THE ONLY DAMAGE HE TOOK was when he turned off his flames at stupid times.

Noland was a botanist and was executed for "tricking" a king about Skypeia, the part of it that was still part of the rest of Jaya before the knock up stream blaster it up IIRC right?

What did Oda turn Usopp into over the TS? A Botanist. Oda planned for a botanist in the crew in his earliest draft and concept art for one piece. There was a sort of fairy - ghost baby weird type character that was meant to be a strawhat too.

Usopp told the tontattas the fairy dwarves that he's Nolands ancestor and thus added to their worship of him. they along with others including son of harald and giant prince of elbaph also saw him as a god as harald held him up almightily.

Usopp might end up being the forest God for all we know lmao. He faced down a self declared God before inn Enel too.

Random fact too, Sanji was a dual wielding gunslinger iirc and the only time I remember him using a gun was when he pulled one on Robin after Alabasta too.
