When did Yonkos become hypetools? WB being stronger than other Yonkos is based on overall power not individual strength. Kaido was stronger than WB individually and before you bring that BM comment of "even Whitebeard" the alliance with Elbaf was for organizational power it would not somehow make BM individually stronger than WB.
BM of Xebecs time (56 years ago) would have been a 12 year old child. You are not grasping the difference in how they are shown. The rank of Admiral became a hypetool, if there was more info about the whole encounter and the Admiral having a name and his own hype then we wouldnt have used the term hypetool. Nobody is saying that the current Admirals are fodders or non top tiers but the rank being used as a hypetool is not good optics.
Rocks was obviously not a HK, he was a D. I dont think a D would fit into the HKs. He was probably the king of an island or maybe a guardian of a king like Pell/Chaka for Cobra.
Btw the genetics missed big time with BB, Rocks seems like a chad and BB is a fat fuck with thin legs.

If Xebec had beaten a character like BM back in the day, no one would have said that Yonkou were hypetools. Xebec Is someone at Roger/WB's level so no one had any doubts he could beat a top tier.
The difference Is Admirals were always there, while Oda cannot say that Xebec has beaten a random Emperor since the rank didn't even exist back then.
