Xebec being another shockwave man makes sense when you look at Kaido’s top 5 and top tiers in general. Everyone besides oden uses shockwaves to bypass durability but oden was the only character able to actually cut through shit the others couldn’t
It makes sense that oden was the only one capable of cutting Kaido with him being the main one focused in actually cutting. What he lacked in advanced internal armament or the quake fruit he made up for with overflowing haki with enma
On top of that even after his years traveling with Whitebeard and Roger he still proclaimed that he had the greatest swordsmanship
If you notice most of the strongest use shockwaves
Roger, Whitebeard, Garp, Sengoku, Shanks, Blackbeard, Luffy, etc
There are other ways to bypass durability too like elemental forces like the admirals, Sanji(fire), Jinbe(water) etc tho
