We do though, the clouds are clearly distorted and pushed away, we just don't see the aftermath, but we do see the aftermath with Xebec's clash and the clouds are untouched. Either way, we're told Roger and Whitebeard sky split, we're told no such thing for Xebec and Harald.
Also, five kilometers is nothing, Whitebeard and Roger's clash was an entire island.
