Oda had an entire timeskip and basically only brought Koby back into the story in the final saga, aka past chapter 1000,and Koby was struggling with Kuja fodder,even with Seraphim, he couldn't beat Hancock. His big moment was damaging the hand of a guy prime Garp would casually neg diff. There isn't much time left either, dude isn't surpassing Garp anytime on screen

Do you guys really think Croc can be brought to a level beyond what we saw from Doflamingo? Even with all the retconning I dont see how you make it believable for him to be anything more than what Doflamingo was. Which is a YC2 Tier character at best? Sanji went from evenly clashing with Vet Tier characters to Defeating a YC2 Tier character, Based on that progression of things, the next step would be characters near the level of Admirals for Sanji. So I dont see Croc being relevant as a combatant in the future unless its to hype another character.

There's a limit to how much Oda can quote on quote "retcon" with him.
Already had this conversation with Yasheen and Veku I think. Croc is just a very limited character who is very DF reliant and a Logia can really only take you so far at the top level. So only thing imo that can possibly push him over high tier is a DF awakening which I'm very skeptical about him getting given how rare it is. If anything it feels like something would give Akainu or maybe even Aokiji to set them apart from the other Logia.

On the question of whether he will be shown to be stronger than Doffy, I think it is unavoidable due to power creep and in order to be relevant going forward PL-wise. Whether it'd be believable is a different issue imo.

Not really a fan of Sanji v Croc in any capacity tbh.

Not gonna lie the starter trio might become real endgame material. If Nami gets a higher bounty than Sanji would he even be able to go crazy or would his natural simp status prevent him from getting jealous at Nami?
