And Garp himself never telling Sengoku the whole story of that day since he doesn't like to talk about it. The slaves also needed protection from the numerous pirates that had gathered on the island. Big Mom literally attacked two slave children over DFs lmao. Rocks and Roger's crews weren't the only crews gathered at God Valley, countless other pirate ships outside of theirs went to God Valley as well. When top tiers are fighting left and right... who gone protect the slaves?? you know the people chained up and defenseless??
But nah maybe Garp should've just let em get killed in the crossfire, would've been the better choice, I suppose.

In a world where 95% of the countries fall under one government with the majority living in "peace", a man trying to oppose that "peaceful" regime and intend on toppling it would easily earn him the title of "Most wanted criminal".

Just like how people close to Oda say you can't criticise him, you have to agree with him, be a suck up. He even fought on his editors over a disagreement during Dressrosa and either he or his editor got hurt badly too.
Buggy is his favourite allegedly too and humility and subtlety aren't exactly Buggy's characteristics but at least Buggy is hilarious, charismatic and an actual underdog and we're not forced to worship him.
