I guess the only other way it makes sense is if the CDs dont know they are buccaneers. Itll depend on who actually tells us the Davy Clan members are buccaneers. If its, for example, Teach's mom saying it to Teach, then I guess Saturn's statement makes sense still. If its a CD announcing it then thats fucked.

My only hope is they dont actually know because last chapter mentions Kuma as a buccaneer separately from the Davy Clan so we'll see

Most likely, Big Mom and Kaido also might be buccaneer variant too. Somewhere up the family tree, they branch out by mixing with other races, and some of them inherited Oar's evil and conquering root, thus makes them bad.

Kaido's an oni big mom is a normal human because her parents are normal

Imo Teach’s powers come from more than the fact he is a buccaneer.

We know that buccaneers have the “power of love”. A vague ability that let Kuma surpass his death and also let’s Sanji light his leg on fire and kick light.

What if in his dying breath, Rocks used the power of love to cast some sort of protection charm on Teach. Like Harry Potter’s mom did.

The way it works is that part of Rocks’s soul lives on in Teach. This let’s Teach eat two DFs and it allows Rocks to temporarily step in to protect Teach if he is in danger. Which is probably what happened when Shanks fought Teach.

Buccaneer can never die then, they can somehow live on other host.

oda's retarded ass did not have ANY reason to make Davy clan into buccaneers AT ALL.

Like, no fucking reason at all. There were plenty of cons like continuity errors, making the op world seem small, making characters and their statements false and retarded etc.

But literally no Pros at all.
