I mean you could still just have Morgan's leak info. We know Rocks wants legendary DFs (and his real motivation would be saving his family).
So getting Rocks to God Valley is easy.
Roger and Rocks already have an established rivalry outside of Shakky I really don't think it was necessary to get Roger to God Valley.

I said this last week but you could easily take away the idol/obsession aspect of Shakky and it wouldnt need to change a thing about character motivations to go to God Valley. They could have just went to save a friend. All this nonsense about the economy halting is dumb lmal
If the Kuja were just important pirates that were chased by Garp and became friends to Roger and Rocks, that story would have worked regardless. Her being kidnapped could have motivated perverts like Shiki, but given that BM and Kaido want DFs and Garp was after Roger, not much "had" to change for Roger to get there too. Hell, Garling thinking she was pretty and wanting to make her his wife? Pretty much in character for CDs.
The problem is outside of this Oda sets up all of his characters to be extreme weirdos all the time, so off course they'll react to half naked Kuja's that way. Why the world reacts the same way I have no fucking clue.
The only saving grace is that Rocks isnt really going for her and as mentioned, a few others like John, BM, and Kaido have their own goals. I have to see how this event ends, because yeah right now Im rolling my eyes at some of it.

Yes but dragon and garling probably will met there after all dragon only saved shanks in the end and Dragon is the guy that stole garling his sons that seem to be a pretty obvious match up now . Dragon wont be able to beat him in God valey . But in the curent time line why would he take care of the new gorosei who have history with him ?
Perhaps. I feel like Oda wanted a heroic reason for why Roger would go, so Shakky was there for him. I suppose the Rocks could have been changed to not have cared about her.
I also have to note our way of thinking and Oda's is a LOT different. He probably just thinks of the ga-ga reactions as harmless fun.
