I think it still will. A Gorosei orders S-Bear to kill Bonney: but, Bonney commands all Kuma Pacifista.
Bonney orders, without thinking, "Dad... please, remember me!:
S-Bear takes this as a legit order, and takes Kuma's memories, that Bonney got from Vegapunk's Secret Chamber with the Kuma Memory Bubble, and absorbs them.
S-Bear becomes a Kuma Satellite, like the other 6 Vegapunks are to the Stella, and OG Kuma rests in peace with Ginny somewhere else.
Vivi gets the Paw Fruit.

WG hate for the Buccaneers is very interesting...
I mean there are quite a few races that the WG have driven to extinction but the Buccaneers being highlighted gives of the feeling that even amongst those races they are viewed as even more vile by the WG for whatever reason. Also I found the dialogue chain where the Buccaneers were referenced very interesting.
Master of Ceremonies?: These guys are the Davy Clan!!!
Crertin 1: You lot are the despised clan!
Cretin 2: For a thousand generations, your family has known no love!!
Cretin 3: You lot are also buccaneers, aren't you!?

Although it isn't necessarily confirmed that the Davy clan are Buccaneers the mention of love in this dialogue makes it quite interesting given the term "Love" seems characteristic to the Buccaneers. Could simply be a statement/phrase to emphasize how despised the buccaneers are but it's interesting nonetheless.
