Btw this chapter confirms Rookie BM > near-prime Shiki as No 3 of Rocks after Primebeard

A wide AoE atk that could kill em both unguarded, yet BM was the only one confirmed able to fight Primebeard head on

Moreover Shiki got treated like Rookie Kaido in the following panel, who def has much better dura than him (remember Shiki was afraid of him fighting Xebec and destroying the island)

The dynamics are painfully clear, Primebeard > rookie Linlin > rookie Kaido > near-prime Shiki

Not surprising as Shiki needed his own proper rival introduced in his little corner @park_min young @Sir Yasheen @The DevilMaster @MonsterKaido @Hanzo hattori
Yeah, this chapter is actually pure Linlin gas. She was consistently paired with Whitebeard, their back-and-forth reminiscent of Zoro and Sanji’s endless squabbles. At the same time, the two carried themselves like the elder siblings of the crew. Shiki and Kaido acted like the younger bros of the dynamic. Put it all together, and the case for her being in the crew’s top three is pretty damn strong even when she’s supposed to be younger than Shiki.

Prime Garp no-selling Big Mom’s elemental attacks was exactly what I expected. Even an old, geriatric Garp was manhandling Kuzan’s entire devil fruit arsenal, so there’s no way that the generic projectiles of a Linlin who’s a decade younger than him would faze him. If you told me last week that prime Garp would actually need ACoC to shrug off those moves then I would have slapped you in the face.

You’re thinking of two separate times. The Marineford attack took place 3 years after Edd war. In those three years Sengoku learned he couldn’t take Shiki alone hence why he had Garp help him when Shiki arrived.

Yet between the two the only one Whitebeard denied aiming for was Big Mom. Dude was annoyed Shiki was alive.

Let big mom stick with Kaido where she belongs. She has no chance with actual PK rivals.
Care to post s scan where Sengoku expresses his doubt he can defeat Shiki ?

Bro look closer at those lightning trails , if you connect 2 closest to eah other you will see that together they form a smoke trail. Its not acoc lightning its smoke trails ( each " lightning" represents boundaries of smoke screen )

Made a thread about this.

Oda had this theme of the old guard WB/Kaido/BM being replaced by the new guard Luffy/Law/Kid. He's really emphasizing them this pirate trio as the future of piracy, like he did with those 3.
