Chapter highlights:

> Garp is extremely strong, literally: brute force alone won't solve everything if it's weak.

> Xebec revealing the name of his beloved wife, that's very interesting.

> Captain John could be the former user of the Jiki Jiki no Mi? This opens the door to many theories, and once again, NIPOBABY wins in One Piece, lol.

> Sommers, the punching bag, what a despicable character... I pray that Oda makes him agonize in this Elbaf arc, so he can meet the same pitiful end Saturn met at the hands of Imu.

So the combined forces of Rocks and Roger easily overwhelmed the marines and gods knights and got to the most important Treasure Shakky at the center of God-Valley rather easily. It seems BM and Kaidou left behind to struggle with Garp, while WB and the rest went ahead to clash with Rogers crew at God Valleys central spot.
Now how did Rocks get defeated then? I suspect Imu is with the most important hostages: Eris and Teach.

Btw this chapter confirms Rookie BM > near-prime Shiki as No 3 of Rocks after Primebeard

A wide AoE atk that could kill em both unguarded, yet BM was the only one confirmed able to fight Primebeard head on

Moreover Shiki got treated like Rookie Kaido in the following panel, who def has much better dura than him (remember Shiki was afraid of him fighting Xebec and destroying the island)

The dynamics are painfully clear, Primebeard > rookie Linlin > rookie Kaido > near-prime Shiki

Not surprising as Shiki needed his own proper rival introduced in his little corner @park_min young @Sir Yasheen @The DevilMaster @MonsterKaido @Hanzo hattori

They had to be trolling no ways you can see Garp one punch chinjao and think it was a high diff :Shadow_Unimpressed:
This was around end of Dressrosa/start of Zou, on OJ. Where thete was far less agenda posting and brain rot, and from posters that generally had relatively good takes.

(I’m almost certain that Bogard was one of them).

The argument was that as Garp said he trained for the fight against Chinjao, and was visibly putting in effort, that there was a risk he would lose the clash and have his Fist defeated by the Drill, rather than vice versa. So this meant it was a high diff fight.

Starting to understand why Blackbeard attacked Boa Hancock, through the flashback.

He attacked because of Shakuyaku betraying Xebec, for Rayleigh.

That's why Rayleigh stepped in that battle. Blackbeard is like young Garling and Summers, but he captured Garp.

He might release Garp if the navy gives him Uranus, and this must have something to do with Shakky.

what's the one on the right? which panel is this from?
I wonder if we’ll ever see Luffy’s grandmother... There’s still a decent chance we’ll see his mother in Dragon’s flashbacks, but Oda might just completely skip over Garp’s wife.
She gotta be another walking womb like the other dead flashback moms. The guy didn't even bother drawing the face of Shanks' and Shamrock's mom. Teach's mom looks as generic as any other female background character.
All One Piece moms are good for is to die, optimally while defending their kids.

I was probably one of them. I still stand by it somewhat, but with the added context that Garp could have neg diffed Chinjao if he wanted to avoid the drill and just beat him. Defeating his drill was definitely a high diff effort.

How far we've come though, from Garp can't be equal to RogerBeard because of Chinjao, to Chinjao would overpower the Yonkou in a clash.

Nah nothing needs to be changed

He used coa alone
He trained his coa alone to beat an island split drill
This is a flex by garp.

No need to look at it any other way

Yea that makes sense too since he wants to clash directly with the drill, it wouldn't make sense to overpower with a barrier. However Oda didn't even have ACoC in mind at that time, barrier haki maybe not, but AdCoC like streaks being used would be likely if that scene was drawn today.

Didn’t Chinjao state at the end of Dressrosa that fucking Sai’s kick was as strong as his drill from his prime lol?
