Roger pirates are trash. Rocks was the good guy all along.
Xebec and Roger/Garp are enemies anyway. Also, Xebec Isn't going to tell them why he came.
Not to mention Garp too has all the reasons in the world to fight Xebec to begin with.
Being enemies + treasures are completly plausibile as a reason to fight.
I agree they aren't going to beat him, but that's why Imu/Gunko Is there.
After a fight among the three of them, Xebec is likely finally going for his family and then Imu/Gunko pop up, Gaban feel the haki he would later feel in Erbaf, Imu kills Xebec and takes his sword which now Is in the flower room.
Not to mention Garp too has all the reasons in the world to fight Xebec to begin with.

Garp was there to fight Roger in the first place. He knew rocks was going and did not care. He went there for Roger. So him teaming up with Roger is retarded without good reason.

But why did Garp decide to help Roger, his biggest enemy? Why this fight was a 2 vs 1 and not a Roger vs Xebec vs Garp fight? Something definitely happened, Xebec only goal was to save his family, he had no time to fight some top tiers for treasures and Roger seems he wanted to escape this chapter, Xebec could leave him the treasures with no problem

Roger vs Xebec vs Garp (pretty much given)
Ray vs WB vs Garling ( i believe this is where WB gon save sum Slave teenager or children like Marco or anyone that come into WBP later, Garling trying to claim his main prize from Ray but continues to kill anyone on his sight and thats where WB stopping him, this is also imo where BB gon see how strong Ray is which makes him scared even tho he is already old )
Gaban vs Shiki vs Silver Axe vs Multiple Strong HK ( cuz why not, Roger Wings or Wings in general are top tier lol, i can also see this is where Sommers gon see Gaban's feat which makes him scared on Elbaf )
