Why do people think BM would be able to hurt garp with that attack ?
When grap tank a ACoC sword haki attack from Roger and then punch him in the face.
We seeing the reason the man was call iron body grap in this flashback.

Zoro's goal is to become the strongest WSS of history. His goal is not specifically defeat Mihawk. If Mihawk loses his title for example than Zoro doesn't have to do anything about it. If Zoro somehow proves to be a stronger swordsman. Like cutting kairoseki or diamond or poneglyph while Mihawk can't. Then he can become WSS.

And I don't wanna anything about them not being serious, because they weren't exactly serious when they clashed in the Oden flashback and it was much stronger than this.

Hell, Rayleigh here's looking like he doesn't even have ACoC yet. Against Blackbeard, he was oozing CoC. Here, he was bloodlusted and yet no CoC whatsoever, despite the panel seemingly intentionally sharing a similar design as Garp's, who was leaking CoC.

Shanks is much powerful then a fodder like Mihawk.

Mihawk ran from Shanks in MF because he knew he is way weaker then Shanks and would get 1 shotted even if he tried to fight Shanks.

Mihawk also is weaker then Vista, thats why he asked to postpone the fight, because otherwise Vista would've defeated Mihawk, and that's why Vista was smiling and Mihawk wasn't. I guess Vista just didn't care about Mihawk's worthless free title enough.

Mihawk is also weaker then Vice Admirals, because that's why he ran away from that fleet circling his island, its expected of a equal of pre TS Luffy and Crocodile.

Yep it's like people forget that Oda already show that garp is a monster fucking tank in this flashback.
But some how BM is suppose to do damage with attack that most likley weaker than this haki sword attack.

No wonder Garp's mocking Linlin like that, Admirals are a different breed. Think of how in the current time they've at their disposal the most lethal abilities in the verse (light, magma, ice) and have probably gone against each other countless of times. A near death match actually happened.

Sengoku doesn't have those logias but he could probably carry out attacks neary as devastating. We saw prime Big Mom's arsenal against Kid and Law.
