The only saving grace for Rayleigh this chapter is that he looks cool, reminds me of Lucci or King.

Strength-wise, he looks ass. The only prominent character there who’s madly injured by fodder, still no acoc confirmation when he’s pushing 40 like Dodger. Dodger also cockblocked Whitebeard so that Ray gets his white knight moment. Pretty sure that Roger or WB would have beaten him to it 😂

He one shotted a Gods Knight wayyy before reaching his prime and is still a Yonko level feat.

They're 40 bro, they're in their primes, maybe a small touch out of their absolute peak. But WB, Roger, Garp, Ray are all in their primes. Prime doesn't start and end in a year. WB probably peaked a few years after this, Roger and Garp to a lesser extent too. But they are absolutely in their primes.

People really don't take into consideration that, apart from Rocks, that is gonna die here, all of these characters develop themselves further into their journeys. Kaido/BM/WB become Yonkos (theories about Shiki being the Yonko prior to Shanks arise), Roger became PK and fought a much stronger WB multiple times, Ray/Gaban also grew, Garp did that training later in his carreer just for Chinjao and Garp seems like the type who constantly trains, etc.

The Gorosei showing up is going to be big here, because we can power scale them against Gear 5 Luffy, as well as Dorry, Brogy, and other fighters.

Gonna be some crazy power scaling takes soon, even crazier than this chapter.

It's probably gonna be Smoker though. Koby will take down Teach with Luffy to parallel God Valley, and Sanji will fight Burgess. Or Lafitte. Likely Burgess, though, he's got more of that clown vibe that Sanji opponents typically have.
