? I gave you example of a character who "ran" from garp while being close to his prime but had no issues fighting much stronger force while being old and sick.

Kaido wanted to fight yes but chose not to as he had bigger goals of taking a powerful DF which was his first preference. Wanting something to do =\= choosing to do it.
