AoE is Oda's distinct way of telling us how powerful the atk is. Look at WB's atk on Akainu

Combine it with the inherent lethality of PW and how it made a yonko known for dura scream and roll like a bitch. To this day this still is competitive for Top 3 strongest atk among non-god tiers

-Law exposing advanced haki as a side quest for him
-Joyboy haki being showcased first before his nika powers, we know which one is gonna lead to more hype

Exactly concentrating an attack on one certain surface area is more effective, than AoE.
