It's called the mark of original sin... After nami stabbed her Arlong tattoo in the process she destroyed and deactivated the original one too, the mark was so in color so they thought it was just a birthmark. There are more with that mark

Wouldn’t be shocked if the abyss mark is just the deep sea mark with a skull added to it to make it basically a skull with demon horns and crossbones.

Shallow - Follow Imus orders when nearby
Deep - Can hear Imus voice from anywhere and must obey him in exchange for strength and immortality
Abyssal - Can be used as Imus vessel and hear the voice of any other abyssal marks from anywhere in exchange for demonic power and an ageless body

I don't think Gunko has the Abyssal contract though. The Eternal youth surgery must have been used in the past and she is as good as a candidate as any other
