We're gonna need another major training arc after Elbaf, Imu is pretty hax. Luffy will have to hit G7 and master Conquerors Haki, while unlocking the memories of Joy Boy. Will Zoro and Sanji lose too? (assuming Luffy is cooked) Is it time for the SH's to take another major L on the level of Sabaody?

Luffy is already at the max mastery of every single power he has. And CoC can't even be trained, so its just Haki Blooms from here on out lol

I love the fact that G5 alone is not peak Luffy. This should be a lesson to people who lean too much on the words of characters or narrators to create expectations and powerscaling.

These characters are flawed and overconfident and the story is a multipolar pov. That's the point of the journey. Only the end and the "last challenge" can bring the real potential.

Imu was there for 800 years, he better have tricks and more tricks even. This was quite silly to have him struggle like that until now. I’m expecting more from him wether in power levels or lore and whatnot

I think it can be explained by the fact that Imu has been distracted all this fight by the presence of Nidhogg and what he thought was JoyBoy.

Imagine, you see your old dead (friend?)/(fow?) on the battlefield the first time you get out after 800 years, I would be kind of daydreaming and lost in thought too.

That last hit was Imu finally locking in.

While this chapter fixes half of One Piece problems, the punch in Imu's face make this chapter into nonsence. But if this chapter wouldn't happen, you should just shut down One Piece manga. Luffy cannot win against THE MAIN VILLAIN of this story. It only should be losing choice. This is what I was talking about.

Teach is not the FV, and even if he somehow ended as FV, the MAIN MAIN villain of whole One Piece will be Imu. Teach is more like an antagonist.
