CoC: Color of Clowns

"No... gonna steal it back..."
So... in order for Luffy to reach Gear 5, he had to "die" first.

Is Usopp going to "die" against Imu, then come back as Sogeking?

I believe Brook will get his Awakening while fighting against Gunko/Shuri soon, and that it will be tied to death/revival. Awakened Brook revives Usopp?

Usopp pissed Imu off to begin with, and is now yapping while Imu is fighting Top Tiers. I can see Imu getting pissed at Usopp and taking him out, soon. Things seem to be going too well.

People have been referencing Frieza, and I get that vibe, too, but in a different sense. Things seem to be going to good. Frieza didn't really kill anybody (outside of the elder and Nails, but Nails technically survives and fuses with Piccolo), until he reached his final form, then offed Dende and Vegeta quick, before taking out Krillin later.

Imu has done shit in his 2nd form, so far, and it looks a bit more malicious than his 1st form.

So far, Imu's been focused on killing Loki and Luffy, and has been doing a good job, there. But, we all saw Imu get pissed when Usopp started insulting them.

I think Usopp is going down soon, then getting back up as Sogeking.

The Omen boosted versions are far from an easy match for them. O-Sommers casually blocked one of Zoro's strongest KoH moves.
Sanji still requires unlocking ACoC to even begin being a threat to O-Killingham.

Also, it was said by Killingham himself that if he's out, then Zaza will fade as well. No need to "fight it afterwards".
Oooooh, now I'm completely convinced Jinbe is fighting Zaza, because the fight doesn't even matter to begin with. I forgot Killingham said taking him out takes out Zaza.

Yeah, Omen-boosted Sommers and Killingham are serious problems, and this explains why the God's Knights (besides probably Gunko and Shamrock knowing their personalities/circumstances) don't really train super hard: knowing you have this boost in the back makes it really easy to take it easy.

One of his territories, but I doubt the Giants would let Shanks like, run his operations out of their country.

I think Shanks runs what's probably the One Piece equivalent of Barbados, but more ethical: I'd imagine his territory is full of persecuted peoples/Tribes. Since he's a CD, he probably can offer his followers protection even Newgate couldn't.

I thought Gaban was going to be outside Lodestar, not Elbaph (glad I was wrong, soooo glad).

Since we've pretty much run out of powerful Roger Pirates to guard Lodestar, I'm guessing Shanks territory is based around there, and doubles as a guard post for the last island that can be reached by the traditional Log Pose route.

I've been predicting the Straw Hats have a training arc with the Red Hair Pirates, and then eventually a Davy Back. I also hope we see a Davy Back against Teach, but a Davy Back between Luffy and Shanks lets them settle things, without having to have their crews directly fight each other.

I could see Lodestar being where this Davy Back fight happens. The fact that Rocks built his crew through Davy Back means it's going to be a lot more important in the future.

...Holy shit, is Teach going to challenge Cross Guild to a Davy Back?

Anywho, at this point, I'm guessing Shanks' territory is near/surrounding Lodestar. We've had Roger Pirates stationed at every major milestone leading to Laugh Tale: Crocus at Reverse Mountain, Rayleigh at Sabaody, Gaban here on Elbaph.

If we keep going by strength, the next Roger Pirate at Lodestar should be stronger than Gaban and Rayleigh, and Shanks is the only one that fits the bill. Ironic for him to guard Lodestar when he and Buggy didn't make it to Laugh Tale.
Oh shit, this is actually a great idea, Blackbeard pirates vs Davey Back fight against cross guild, in the match there’s a Mihawk vs Shirew fight where Mihawk kills Shirew but Cross Guild still ultimately lose and Mihawk becomes Blackbeard’s right hand man and that’s how he fights Zoro at the end

I was warned to not look at any hints / spoilers this week. My god, the wait felt like forever. I knew it had to be Usopp related. Here we go, the true Elbaf Arc has begun.

There's so much to unpack with this man.

#1: The Return of Sogeking. I think this happens through Bonney's Distortion Future, but, what if Biblo is telling Chopper he needs to find and then feed his crewmate, Usopp, the Sogeking Mythical Zoan? I still 1000% believe Sogeking was a real dude in this universe whom Usopp is channeling the energy of. The Sogeking Mask is to Usopp what Sanji fans said Enma was to Zoro with Oden.

#2: The Mont Blanc Noland/Cricket connection. We saw a Mont Blanc Noland statue in Dressrosa, made by the Tontatta. I believe Usopp's mother, Banchina, was a Zushindodo, a Tontatta/Giant Hybrid. So, I think we'll get a Mont Blanc Noland statue in Elbaph, as well, and find out Usopp/Yasopp are descended from Noland, and this is why both use no surname: as Cricket told us, the surname Mont Blanc is derided world wide, and many in the family hide the name out of shame. Usopp will be the one to prove Noland was telling the truth, and reclaim his family's name.

#3: The Hammer. I refuse to believe after all the set up, Usopp is not picking up Ragnir. Usopp's gag of lifting hammers too heavy for him has been played into the ground, and we know Usopp's lies tend to come true.

IT'S HIS TIME TO SHINE, HUZZAH!!!

"Gear... NOSE..."

"Gear... NOSE..."
The parallel to Zoro's Enma is brilliant! The mask definitely acts as a psychological catalyst for Usopp.

I absolutely love the thematic connection between Usopp and Noland. They are the two ultimate 'liars' of history, and Usopp redeeming Noland’s name in Elbaf would be peak fiction. A Tontatta/Giant hybrid ancestry might be a bit wild even for Oda(never say never ), but Usopp being a distant descendant of Noland would beautifully tie Jaya, Dressrosa, and Elbaf together.

HUZZAH is right! The Usopp Pound hammer gag has been running since Arlong Park. Elbaf features a massive, legendary hammer like Ragnir, Usopp has to lift it. Whether he lifts it through a classic trick or because it's a sentient weapon that chooses him, it would be the ultimate payoff for his lies coming true.

Gear Nose Lol ! In the last chapter thread, somebody said Usopps Nose was a GPS tracker. I know it was a joke but imagine that.

Oda made all the connections and build Luffy as the next Roger and Joyboy. Luffy says the same thing, does the same things, has the same things, people see those 2 in Luffy etc. He even got Joyboy God Fruit...He is the one gonna fight the big bad and save the world, just as many expect...

Oda through Ussope: Nope! No prophecies here!
Hardly the first hypocrisy in Oda's writing.
