Roger, Rayleigh, Oden and Shanks are swordsman, but Mihawk is the current WSS, there were some hopes about a unique Haki fighting style, but Haki is an essential part to swordsmanship there's no difference.

Roger did way way more than Mihawk could possibly dream of in his pirate career
