Judging from the pic it seems Franky hasn't met Roger and his crew yet but only Oden since him and Oden are in a different spot from where Roger is.
Also Oden may have never told Franky his name.

for some reason this panel makes me really sad

What a great panel. this flashback made me appreciate Roger's character more. his laid personality along with his will to get what he wants by any means, even if it means retreating from the government or other emperors, brings more reality to his character as a classic 17th century pirate. unlike Luffy or the other emperors. he crossed all the way to Lodestar and still had the will power to continue his search 13 years later despite being infected with a disease. what a determination.
