I can see you’re point, Luffy does reckless things without thinking it through.... However, Luffy will very rarely act in such a way that could potentially cause harm for others/those he cares for, like the case with Roger knowingly leaving his child without a father. But I agree with you that to a degree, the basis of their personalities are very similar.

I don't know why this is surprising to you guys. I feel like people don't get the gravity of Roger's final action. He literally intentionally inspired a lot of people to become pirates (people who plunder and murder). He started a whole ass golden age of pirates and everyone's like "Oh he didnt care about Rougue he only wanted a child so someone finds one piece bla blabla" lol

I've been saying this for years lmfao. Roger's last words are responsible for thousands if not millions of deaths since he died. Roger is by all means a dick, but he's nuanced

Thinking that even with whole world competing for One Piece, in the end his son will win for whatever dumb reason

Well it was already established Roger was not nice person and Ace hatred for his father.

Reminder public did not like him as well so he was like any other pirate like big mom and others. Its harsh but truth however roger had qualities like he respected his crew and never tried to control the sea.

Fact is set Roger never attempted todo anything wano was going through.

Ya Roger is not a bit like luffy in the sense.
