yo did Kaido really got trashed by Oden and only got a hit in that sneak attack? or is there more to the fight the providers havent shown yet bcs so far Kaido really took ALL the possible Ls out there lmaoo Oda really want to destroy every bit of hype Kaido has, while we're not even get into the war yet. He was in that panel where they showed Rocks and his boys attacking Roger and Garp.
Like if he was literally in that panel and didn't fight in that war then that means anybody else probably wasn't in the war too... Meaning it's likely whitebeard and Big mom weren't in it too and the war was just Roger and Garp beating up Rocks alone

Because it looks more and more inevitable each chapter. Not literally pieces but a head will roll. 
Regarding the Kaido downplay...
There seems to be no doubt that Oden from 20 years ago is superior or equal to Kaido from 20 years ago.
Last chapter said that Oden who returned to Wano from his travels was invincible, likely meaning a lot stronger than Oden who left Wano.
Last chapter also shows Moriah vs Kaido and back in Thriller Bark we have a rumor that Moriah was going toe-to-toe with Kaido.
It doesnt seem to be a rumor but the truth actually. Kaido from 20 years ago is most likely incomparable to Kaido we have in present.
If Luffy can become significantly more dangerous in 2 weeks and Oden in couple of years of sailing, then Kaido can get a lot stronger in 20 years and as Yasu himself said, nobody in last 20 years managed to take Kaido's head.
As tempting as it is to shit on Kaido now, tread lightly, Oda will fool you in few chapters when the wind blows in other direction...
Kaido will trash anyone present in Wano in 1vs1 aside from Big Mom herself, that is what the story requires him to do.
1vs1 bet on Kaido was introduced for current Kaido, not for Kaido from 20 years ago.
