Luffy is not a dumb or as selfish as Oden.
Luffy not being as dumb as Oden was proven pre timeskip- In impel down, Luffy never wanted to release Crocodile even when he said he would cause not trouble. Jinbei had to convince Luffy to let him out. Luffy never trusted him and kept an eye on him, the moment they landed on marineford, Crocodile went to attack Whitbeard which Luffy stopped.
Luffy is not as selfish as Oden. When Toki got dropped off by Oden, Luffy in Oden's place would have beat Orochi, and got rid of Kaido then before going to Raftel.
Luffy would never wait 5 years to destroy Kaido.
Oden is legitimately dumber than Luffy.

I think the only reason Oda made this 2 pages is he doing this hiding nonesense again. Im going to freak out if Kaido has a Hybrid form and he doimg this. Not showing enemies full strength until SH face them because it will ruin the surprise BS. Its been a 1000 freaking chapters. Just show us the damn fights.
