Whats impressive about King giving his sword to Kaido? All he did was hand him a sword because thats the only way he knows how to be useful in that moment.

If this was Kata, and the aim is to kill Orochi, there wouldn't be any questions about if Orochi is dead or not. He would have FS active and would confirm that Orochi is indeed dead. If Orochi does survive, all this does is indicate that the Beast Pirates and everyone in that room when Orochi got beheaded are subpar Observation Haki that they can't sense when someone is still alive.
