Nah, this would be bullcrap if it not true. Yes, there should have been more buildup to Orochi's death, but if Oda pulls another fake death, he'd be shitting on his own novel.

Tbh, I thought Pedro's death needed more buildup too, but it happened out of nowhere. Hopefully, it's not all a hoax.

Its unfortunate that people don't see this. Yes, Oda has a "beautiful" women identity issue, but that's a preference of the author and how he draws.

Yamato looks different from Nami just as Vivi did. Robin is pretty unique though, but he's also pretty much copied her timeskip design to be closer to Boa's. Hell, Tashigi became more like Robin lmao.

My point is, Yamato explicitly states she wants to get on Luffys ship, her appearance will have zero bearing on that. Other than her damn jawline, she has unique hair, eyes, brows, clothing, fighting style and personality.
