This is kind of contradictory to the flashback where Oden breaks down after Orochi kills Hyou family goes back on his word, because in the flashback, it seemed that Oden believed Orochi would what he promised, while now it seems that Oden never believed Orochi was anything.

This is why Wano is a mess
Oda should have not created the 5 year loop, in fact Kaido shouldn't have been in Wano 8 years before the legendary battle.

We spent 80 chapters just for set up on Kozuki vs kurozomi nonsense which wasn't even that good.
