Every Admiral was always more durable than Kaido lol. Kaido took more damage from Okiku than Akainu took from Whitebeard lol.

Literally YC1 Marco couldn’t injure the Admirals in the slightest but YC12 Kinemon has wounded Kaido twice now. Lol

the sheer fact that luffy or anyone in the crew has never called him the vice captain nor taken executive orders from him.

Zoro is Vice Captain, but in a different manner. He is a member with the wisdom and ability to provide harsh decisions when the moment requires, but not a person who would actually lead others in the absence of Luffy. As I told before, Zoro is a better conqueror and Sanji is a better king. A true captain needs to have the qualities of both, which Luffy has.

Kin could be considered as Oden's 'first mate' or first retainer you could say. The first mate has always been portrayed as second in strength

Kinemon never really got in any serious fights. Law surprised him with his DF. Doffy kicked him once while Momo was in danger. Didn't leave at lasting affects. He was hiding his strength in Dressrosa he said too. He cyt a huge explosion and destroyed and Dragon who was decent against g2 and Zoro.
