Zoros entire theme, his name, the way he dressed most of post TS, Japanese Katanas all are that of a samurai.

Is Jinbe also a Japanese warrior because he dresses up in Japanese attire? Was Zoro not a samurai pre-TS since he only wore a white t-shirt instead of samurai robes?
Mihawk shares the exact same philosophy on swordsmanship as Zoro does and he was even Zoro’s sensei, so if Zoro is a samurai, then Mihawk is too.
