1- Luffy always outshine everyone against the main villain. This is a recurring theme in One Piece, with the Strawhats including Zoro always leaving the main bad guy to Luffy
2- Zoro knows that for Luffy to become pirate king, he needs to defeat the yonko/admirals, and the reason why Zoro trained was to help Luffy accomplishing that dream
3- It has already been confirmed for years that Luffy will be the one to defeat Kaido
From logic and common sense alone then, it's already obvious who will defeat Kaido
Zoro will likely be among the people who will ultimately weaken Kaido, but Luffy will be the one to finish him in a 1 on 1

Well we don't know if Kid would die or not so I can't really speak on that but your 2nd statement is shaky. Zoro himself was having a hard time and almost failed to stop Pica. Is it cause Pica is stronger than him? Hell no. Zoro would wash him in a straight 1 on 1, but Pica's fruit is annoying. Zoro can't fly and he has no way of getting close to Pica if Pica decides to stay away and fuck everything up. Luckily Orlumbus showed up so Zoro was able to reach him and fuck him up but if not for him then who knows how things could've played out. It isn't about Pica being strong it's about his fruit being cheesy.
