Ray was like 50 years old on a great pirate ship. They literally retired like 2 years later. So let me get this straight. Lol Roger was getting weaker too. They already hit their peak. Roger had already beaten his biggest Pirate Rival.

He was just surprised they used the same thing at the same time, because he didn't know Roger and Whitebeard knew each other.
