And how do we know that Whitebeard didn't go back to see him? Remember before Roger disbanded the Roger Pirates, him and Whitebeard met on an Island that was filled with Cherry Blossoms.
Everything pertaining to Oden and Kaido came years later, but Whitebeard could have seen him long before that, right after Roger became Pirate King and sailed back to Wano to drop Oden off.
And I am not sure I am following your point about Toki and the kids.... They were reported as killed also. There was nobody to go back to save.

Oden died 20 years ago. Unless WB suddenly stopped avenging people from the moment Oden was gone, this makes no sense.
Not sure what point you're trying to make. You think WB couldn't have gotten Ace back if he wanted to? Or couldn't have stopped him from going after Teach?
Even so, why didn't he go after Kaido? Apparently Kaido challenged other Yonko etc.

Buggy, marco says that WB avenge their members dont make It as a fact, actions are more important than words, and we Saw How coucious WB was with Kaido and BB. He didint Go after them, ace for mad with It and went by himself.
What we have to understand that IS ODEN that was important to WB, not wano people or any of his Man famílies.
With know as CANON that wb treasure is his CREW. Some people Headcannon tring to say its wano civilians and the FAMILY of his Man too like WB is a hero/saint not a pirate.
