I think oda and shonen jump will keep stretching the series probably even after oda’s death if he dies... many things indicate to me that this manga is doing everything thing possible to gain more money even at the expense of ruining the story.

this thing happened with other manga like bleach.
you see one piece is not the best selling manga anymore it’s dropping in ranks gradually bellow new emerging manga and soon enough it will be so low that shonen jump and oda will be forced to end it...thus a rushed ending.

not that it matters anyways considering the manga is a shit show that lives on fake hype.

For me the reasons why im still reading one piece are

1st
I started reading one piece since 1999
And I have deep connection and investment in the story and the characters (especially the original 5)
No matter how bad the manga get
The connection will still be there since I begin this journey since childhood


2nd
as I said I invested alot of years reading it , if I just stopped now I would feel like I wasted all these years for nothing


3rd
out of habit really
It’s been 22 years im just used to check the spoilers and read the chapters every week

The ending will be what Oda has envisioned for years. Oda might later say that he wanted to delve deeper into side character #42’s backstory but that’ll probably be it.

Wano itself could very well last another 40+ charters, that's a lot... by this rate the final war might last 50-60+ chapters even if it was immensely rushed, and the rest should very well add up to a 100-150+ chapters probably.
