Kaido's flashback was trash in the manga and it's still trash in the anime.

How did he coat flames with Haki?
Luffy definately did use it and Two conqueror base coc clash do show some lightening.
Kaido was behind all the time.
How did he use haki? Was it all DF reliant technique in the end?

Katakuri's flashback gets a pass because he wasn't the main villain of the WCI arc and he wasn't a character that was build up.

Even if Katakuri's flashback wasn't shown, most wouldn't really care or question it.

Kaido on the other hand was not only the main villain of one of the longest arc in One Piece, but his character was build up ever since Punk Hazard.

He's a character that everyone thought would get a really good flashback especially after Big Mom's flashback back during the WCI arc, but unfortunately Oda decided to rush Kaido's flashback just because he wanted to quickly end the Wano arc.

I think Oda did a great job showcasing Kaido in terms of power level but I'm sorry, when it comes to his flashback Oda really failed on that one.

ZKK is definitely a silly take but it would definitely being more hype seeing Kaido as a dragon decapitated like ryuma did long time.

For this and more Wano ended up being mediocre.

Of course not, it never had lightning sparks that indiciate acoc in the manga. Kaido’s strongest move by far is a df move lol. Momo’s potential is insane, great df, he only needs to train his haki

Hmmmm interesting that the anime made it seem like Kaido's life flashed before his eyes when Luffy was about to hit him with that final punch, just like how the anime made it seem like Big Mom's life flashed before her eyes when she was about to fall into the magma.

Not saying it means anything but I am quite curious how the anime will handle that scene with Kaido and Big Mom.
