One Piece Episode 1084 - Time to Depart - Wano Country and the Straw Hats

I never really trashed the story on untied plot threads before, mainly because they weren't arc specific. So you get the inclination they'd be addressed in the overall story late on. Up until Onigashims, Oda always payed off the arc specific plotlines for the most part. With Wano, it felt like the first time we left an island with incomplete arc specific stories. I can forgive most of them, but particularly can't forgive Kaido and Big Mom's character arcs/backstories with Rocks/Importance of Wano not getting addressed.

Maybe if Kaido and Big Mom really do return later on I'll change my mind.

That only helps my theory. He really needs to explore his Shimotsuki ties. If it didn't happen in Wano arc, it'll happen in Epilogue.

For me bm and kaido character arcs/backstories with rocks didn’t bother me too much by the end of wano simply because I figured we would get more when we learn about rocks. Wanos importance and not opening the borders bothered me, but after a reread I think it was for the best but oda will touch on more things later for wano

I'm sure the Wano/Rocks connection will be addressed from Rocks' perspective in the future. We needed the story from Kaido's perspective. I mean look at what Kuma's flashback has done for his character. Kaido's 9 page flashback was way off the mark of what could've been the best villain in the series so far.

Also, Mom's arc with her family was moved from WCI to Wano to never get resolved. Which is why this is my dream.

I used to think it's cope, but I'm starting to lean towards their comeback. Pudding kidnapping/Kaido's mini flashback makes you think there has to be more.

A useful filler episode since everything happened too quickly in the manga at the end.
Not very nice of Sanji to ignore Some when Robin showed up even though she had something important to say.

Im with ya… personally I think oda was keeping bm and kaido down via the volcano explosion they could have been launched elsewhere or oda could of even made them be put on island clouds/sea clouds temporarily via the volcanic eruption https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/Island_Clouds

Yeah that was the only scene that felt filler, Oda would've had Sanji die from 10 nosebleeds if a pretty woman was interested in him like Osome this episode.

You're probably right. After Egghead, we have Elbaf -> Laugh Tale -> Final War/Arc/Marejois

Don't see them playing a major role on Laugh Tale or Final War. Maybe a small role if in those arcs.

Big moms connections to Elbaf was the only reason I could see her maybe coming back but kaido's only connections is rocks dead, doffy arrested and wano which he just got beat and most likely murdered at

But with the confirmation that Elbaf is under Shanks control I think it's likely going to be a Shanks arc maybe not a fight but luffy and Shanks reuniting

- Zoro visiting Yasuie and Pedro grave.....

Yasui is fine tho, he knows Yasui much more than Ryuma. He spent days or weeks travelling with Yasui. It is fully in character for Zoro to vsit Yasui grave.
But yes, could've followed up with Ryuma's grave as well.

Zoro doesn't even know who TF Pedro is. Why is his grave even with Yasui? So fucking random
