Give credit to the animator too - that guy is a genius. The creacking noise of jail door opening, heavy footsteps, sound of lighting up the cigar, eerie background, etc., all executed so perfectly.

And yet still shits on the manga, just goes to show you how bad the manga has been. Somehow an ep with 0.75 chaps worth of content feels like it has more content in it 😭

They really nailing these eps, crazy how this ep felt packed despite barely covering anything. The character acting and direction should get tons of praise for pulling that off.

Also they are loading up for the Garp and Kuzan eps, the fact that their throw-away eps are this good has me in awe I can't even lie.

Aint gonna watch buildings getting whipped for 3 minutes while no one does shit, watched the BBP bit and skipped/speed watched the rest

Doesn't bother me cause of the character acting and overall direction of the episode.

Like I said manga seems lifeless in comparison, seems like i'm reading a rough draft of some gibberish.

If done right even eps with minimal content like today can feel pretty full, when done wrong...you get Dressrosa lvl episodes where a scene is just slowly panning for no reason.
