This is not dressrosa level stuff. They wanted to catch a cool shot of Kizaru's foot being right next to Luffy's face before cutting to the reveal.

The scene is literally animated by Naotoshi Shida lmao.
I'm not talking about the shot of the foot before the actual impact, but this:

2 seconds of this is simply bad (especially given we're getting this after a six-month break), and if that's Shida it simply means he's longer doing a good job. Have some standards.

Kizaru moving up to performing the move to Luffy flying away all looked amazing but the impact was not doing it justice. Very weird.

idk if it is the voice or the facial expression but in the anime it he looks like he's half-awake while fighting snakeman lol
What's even weirder is that Kizaru in the anime knows Gear 5 is coming for literally 5 minutes and lets himself get grabbed lmao

Tbh, I think they were going for Kiz outright not being able to react to it in time imo. But with this weird-ass direction you can't tell for sure lmao.

Also, TOEI-zuki looks like a complete bum as usual. Nine attacks, seven missed and two that barely hit.
