I might be wrong but I remember oda says that the anime can show stuff that he didnt have time to draw in the manga. Like with Sabo's story in the Revos.

He uses the anime to help add depth and info that he could not. Am not sure if he does this all the time or if it is a once in a blue moon scenario.

However, since he already said that anime can give extra info when he doesnt have enough time to draw then I will take this Sanji vs P1 fight in the anime as cannon.Unless it is stated in the manga that Sanji indeed defeated P1.

So far the anime team has shown that they have insider info eg the showed Kyoshiro as partof the red scarbads even before it was released in manga. Couple that with Oda's addition, Idoubt Oda would let them get such a hugething as the outcome of the Sanji and P1 fight wrong.

Iirc, Oda also said something to the effect that the anime team normally consult with Oda aboutthe direction to take in order to best recreate Oda's intention.

Have not seen it, will do so in some hours, but I'm actually quite shocked by the comments.
The animation from the preview portrayed his speed very well, it looked very promising tbh. For real, the fight scenes should atleast be clean tho, or not?
And for that BS end, it does not make one bit of sense at all. I talked about this within multiple manga threads regarding this matter already. If P1 wouldn't have been defeated, he would have went on to destroy the surroundings in order to lurk Sanji out AGAIN.
It goes against the narrative and the meaning of this fight. And in general P1 is a rather minor antagonist, so it's not really something that would need further explanation anyway. Seems like Toei fucked this one up tbh.

I mean they show an early flashback of Oden before how he really died out and connected with the others, so again non-canon scenes they adding more than canon.

Knew this raid suit didn;t put sanji on yonko comamnder level after seeing the vinsmokes use it. no way a suit can make you that much stronger. Can't wait to see Sanji use his real power in the fight with queen. If any thing the anime showed us the raid suit is over rated

Toei would need to create an alternative plot just to justify his presence in the war or something.

Which is something that is almost impossible to happen.

Maybe Oda did told them that P1 was not defeated or simply that Drake theory ended up being true.

yeah but the anime is cannon and this proves that raid suit can't add much power up for sanji he can't even take out page one with that attack. Page one not even a yonko commander. So sanji beating queen has to be his own power and training not the raid suit lol. I guess invisiblity is ok xD

You tell me, you seem to have it a lot during those scenes Zoro needed Haki to beat fodders. If we going by anime level, Zoro using it on ninja squad guy will be his full power. I can't wait to see .

Sanji can take him out. Anime is non-canon in this scene about it as it wasn't even exactly in same points. Sanji already proven to be much above Page One even in this non-canon scene already. Though I do expect Sanji having moves his own than relying on RS too which will probably see in him facing King or Queen in the future.

WE do know that the raid suit is not such a good power up can't even scratch page one hopefully he shows his real training power up hells memories against queen.
