The episode didn’t really add much though. They added a few attacks here and there, but nothing particularly significant was changed.

Most of the complaints were kind of pointless really, over mostly superficial stuff. The episode intentionally highlighting how drunk Kaido was covers power scaling criticisms fairly thoroughly.

Nah it was important on complaints. Not really superficial as Anime done stuff like this in the past before.

Zoro needed Haki to block regular arrows? He thinks his blades will break because of arrows? That downgrade him there for using Haki on something like arrows.

Them slightly extending the fight, but not really adding anything that changes the reading of it too much.

Many rather not extend it since it takes away how easily Kaido did it faster than making it look like he was trying a bit in the anime. Just saying the reaction why many wasn't into it.
