Color Differences

My headcanon theory is oda wanted to introduce Lunarian for the next arc (remember when Seraphim were revealed in second chapter of eggheard or so, so pretty early on, its like less than 80 chapters or so when king first was shown on page, with his flame in his first appearance) and he gave him a sword because he was the YC1 and Zoro was gonna fight him.
Everything else was there just to extend chapter time and/or fit him with the beast pirates

Even his flashback is just there for pure seraphim (and joyboy wank) set up if you retroactively read it now

Oda gave King a Marco scene and vice versa, made them both declared right hand men, an honor not every top commander gets.
