Nobody is forcing you to bathe with your nephews. If you want to criticize the whole culture of bathing in eastern countries then that's your prerogative, I don't really have a horse in this race. But this is not unique to One Piece, which is why I don't think this specific criticism has any legs since it's a depiction of a cultural practice.

The thread isnt about parents...its about random familiy members. And yes the parents are creeped out by that. If it was a stranger they would be even more creeped out.

Tbh, sometimes I do find some panels weird.
And, it happens because I don't find any humour in what Oda and Japanese audience see in those gags.
But at the end of the day, I simply move on. Extending my moral projections on some fictional story in a fantasy world without knowing the intent and purpose of the author isn't my cup of tea.
It's not worth letting such things affect you or take your mental space and peace.
I read it one piece for fun, for some banter here and there on WG and that's all. Couldn't care more about it
